Ashthanga classes comprise of a series of poses executed in swift succession, combined with deep, controlled breathing. These are fixed sequences designed to be done step by step, focusing on three stages of Asanas- Entry, Stay & Exit/Transition while focusing on inhalation and exhalation of the breath. This is a more physically and mentally engaging form of Yoga in comparison to Hatha Yoga, so be prepared to sweat a lot by the end of the class.
